TPG’s Integrated Media acquired a majority stake in the company in December 2020.The Role: We are looking for a strong leader and operator to scale our Affiliate Program Management solution for publishers. This program, which sits within Stack’s broader Publisher Partnerships Team, aims to expand the scope of Stack’s publisher offering beyond our core commerce + marketplace solution, helping publishers grow affiliate revenue through the creation of commerce content that links out to retailers and brands. This is a critical area of expansion for the company, as Stack looks to claim a bigger share of publisher commerce output and find effective ways to work with media companies in new verticals.The ideal candidate should have a background in designing effective commerce strategies for a variety of publishers, each with different needs and audiences, mining data to devise compelling editorial calendars, and helping to source, write and edit product deal/review content for established publications. You know how to navigate the key affiliate networks like the back of your hand. But most importantly, you know the secret sauce to writing content that converts.What You’ll Do: Help grow our affiliate content footprint with our publisher partners via the planning and execution of effective commerce contentWrite and edit affiliate content for top publisher partnersIdentify and develop new strategic Affiliate partnershipsNegotiate premium commission rates with retailers and advertisersUse search data, Google trends, cultural events, and affiliate retail sources to inform your content strategyManage and maintain existing Affiliate partner relationships by providing proactive business solutions to Affiliate partners, as well as offering ideas / methods of increasing revenue through unique marketing programsNavigate major affiliate networks and develop best practices for sourcing dealsMake recommendations and oversee strategies related to affiliate marketing with the goal of increasing traffic and maintaining profit marginReport on short-term and long-term revenue and engagement metricsBe an effective motivator for publishers and advertisers, promoting top programs, and keeping close communications with top performersWhat You’ll Bring: Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years managing and executing affiliate content strategies for publishersHighly analytical with a data driven mindsetA love of product discovery and selling your ideas through engaging contentStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong time management and organizational skills to maintain own work-flow and meet deadlinesAbility to think creatively and approach opportunities outside of the boxComfortable making own decisions, but strictly abide to set rules and guidelinesWorks well in a team environment, with ability to structure own work and operate independently when requiredMust be resilient, and ambitious with a strong sense of urgency and achievementStrong grammar and spelling skillsKnowledgeable in Google Analytics and SERP ranking techniquesBackground in managing freelance writers a plusComfortable negotiating commission rates and forming relationships with advertisersSelf-starter who’s not afraid to generate new ideasMetrics-drivenEntrepreneurial spirit, that is incredibly driven, agile and goal oriented with a growth mindsetWhat to Expect: Intro Call: You’ll hop on a quick call with the hiring manager so we can get to know you better — and you can learn a little more about the role.Homework Assignment: We will send over a quick writing exercise that challenges you to solve a problem and come up with creative solutions.
