Our mission is to assure the effective and efficient reduction of risks to the reliability and security of the grid.Your Impact The Digital Content Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of NERC’s social media platforms and engagement plans, and digital newsletters. This position will drive engagement with NERC’s brand, providing a first line of communication with our followers and a unifying platform for NERC as theElectric Reliability Organization. The position will work directly with the External CommunicationsCoordinators and Website Content Manager on campaign plans and performance strategies. In addition to a strong background in digital content and social media, the ideal candidate will possess creativity, time management skills, exceptional attention to detail, an ability to execute deadlines, and consistent self- initiative.Your Role: Develop, implement and manage NERC’s social media strategy and presence.Manage and oversee social media content.Coordinate and manage digital content and calendar.Post daily on social media platforms; grow following and engagement with diverse audiences.Track social media trends and incorporate into NERC messaging.Create engaging and informative graphic and video content.Define social media metrics and produce quarterly reports on social media performance.Coordinate posting of blogs, press releases, and media hits with Website Content Manager.Prepare a wide variety of digital materials, including social media posts, toolkits, newsletters and graphics.Manage special communications projects or initiatives, such as annual reports, or other materials as assigned.Keep abreast of new social media technologies, digital marketing trends and implementing new technologies into our activities.A successful candidate will have: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field is preferred.5+ years of social media management experienceWorking knowledge of social media technology (front and backend) including Twitter, and LinkedInWorking knowledge of Canva or similar graphics programs (Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop andIllustrator, Procreate). * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge of tools for media tracking and analysis.Strong analytical capabilitiesExperience with web design desired, but not required.Other Background check will be conducted prior to employmentIn compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity an eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.Limited travel is necessary.This position is classified as exempt.This position is based Remote/Virtual. Must be able to travel to NERC offices and member organizations as required.
