Job Description : | Want to use your internet savvy and attention-to-detail to protect and expand Democratic majorities? Curious about why you get the ads you do while streaming a video or scrolling through facebook? Eager to support a team using innovative methods to make a difference? Join Priorities USA as a Digital Paid Media Fellow! Priorities USA is a voter-centric progressive advocacy organization and service center for the grassroots progressive movement. We work diligently to uphold the right to vote and ensure that the political process is open to all citizens in order to build an economy that provides real opportunity for all families to get ahead, and to protect the fundamental, democratic ideal of equality for all Americans – regardless of race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. Priorities USA is putting in place long-term infrastructure to engage Americans of all backgrounds at all times, not just on election day. We’re looking for four fellows who will learn from and work alongside our Paid Media team to plan, buy, and monitor Priorities USA’s multi-million dollar campaign to protect and expand Democratic majorities. This full-time, paid fellowship is a comprehensive learning experience designed to prepare you for a career in digital advertising for Democratic organizations. Fellows will work alongside our team every step of the way as we launch actual programs that directly affect the 2022 midterm elections. During your time with us as a Digital Paid Media Fellow, you’ll have the opportunity to: Participate in a training program designed to develop and teach skills needed to be a part of a paid media team. Plan and strategize with the media team and buyers. No prior experience with this is necessary. We’ll teach you how to put together media briefs and implement media plans for targeted digital ad campaigns that meet the strategic imperatives laid out in each race/state. Monitor and report on how our ad campaigns are performing and adapt campaigns in response to reporting and feedback. Maintain media plans, reports, budgets, and other materials to track our work in an ever-changing environment. Connect with campaign professionals and develop networking and job training skills to help you succeed in the industry. The right person for this fellowship should: Have previous experience on political campaigns, advocacy, public service or a demonstrated commitment to progressive causes and electing Democrats up and down the ticket. Have an interest in learning how to run digital advertising campaigns. Let us know if you have experience in AdWords and Facebook Business Manager or have worked with (or at) an agency or ad vendor, though this experience is not required. Have strong organizational skills and an eye for detail. To run a great digital ads program we need to keep track of many moving pieces at once. Have experience communicating with diverse groups, working with a multicultural workforce, and bringing a sensitivity and appreciation of cultural differences. Be willing – and excited! – to try new things, learn from successes and mistakes, ask questions, and adapt with new and changing information, in both the digital media and electoral landscapes. There is no minimum educational requirement for this Fellowship, though Fellows must be 18 years or older to be considered. This is a full-time, paid position with full benefits. The fellowship begins Monday, April 18, 2022 and ends Friday, July 15, 2022. Benefits include employer-paid health insurance, paid time off and retirement benefits. Fellows will be paid $15,000 total ($2,500 per pay period) for the duration of the 3 month program (based on an annual rate of $60,000). Fellows will be expected to commit to working full-time (40 hours per week) at Priorities throughout the duration of their fellowship. The entirety of this fellowship will take place remotely. Applications are due no later than Tuesday, March 22, 2022. People of color, women, people who identify as LGBTQIA, people with disabilities, veterans, and people without a higher education degree are strongly encouraged to apply. |
