The ideal candidate has strong skills in graphic design, web coding, organizing analytics, and enjoys learning new skills in a fast-paced environment where marketing and communications is used to significantly improve the lives of people with Down syndrome.Through the creation of organized, timely and effective digital and print materials, the Digital & Print Marketing Specialist will contribute directly and indirectly to meet GLOBAL’s annual fundraising goals and engagement metrics for the organization and its various departments.BACKGROUNDGLOBAL is a fast growing, strategic, innovative and ambitious public not for profit 501(c)3 with the mission of significantly improving the lives of people with Down syndrome through Research, Medical Care, Education & Advocacy. This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of GLOBAL’s eblasts, digital & print materials, and related reporting. The key areas of work are (1) Eblast Management & Reporting, (2) Management of Event, Program, Initiative & General Digital & Print Materials, and (3) Other Work. The duties of this position include but are not limited to the work listed below.Eblast Management & ReportingExpertise. Serve as subject matter expert for MailChimp, Chimpegration and any other software used to send digital communications and provide database integration. Provide best practices for digital communications for non-profits when applicable.Eblast Templates. With input from the President & CEO, create eblast templates for all annual eblast communications. Create, maintain and update a written Eblast Template Guideline that includes general and specific design elements, word count, and top & tail information. Ensure templates are reviewed annually and updated every three to four years with input from key staff.Annual Eblast Calendar & Eblast Distribution.Maintain and update the Annual Eblast Calendar on a weekly basis.With input from key staff, create annual eblasts from eblast templates and one-time eblasts. Send eblasts to the correct, agreed upon distribution lists on the dates scheduled.Train key staff to create certain categories of eblasts from eblast templates and to send such eblasts to correct, agreed upon distribution lists on the dates scheduled. Oversee eblast deadlines and ensure the accuracy and distribution of all eblasts.Eblast Reporting. Provide detailed pre-built reports for overall eblasts, each eblast, aggregated event/program/initiative eblasts, and department eblasts. Executive summaries should include recommendations regarding quantity and frequency of eblasts, and size of distribution lists.Work with the data team to create robust subscribe, unsubscribe and resubscribe reports for key staff and the PR, Marketing & Communications Department.Work with the data team to ensure the accurate and timely entry of data associated with digital and print analytics into GLOBAL’s database.Work with the PR, Marketing & Communications Department to aggregate event reporting to include eblasts, website, social media, and other metrics.Optimization & Database Integration. Identify opportunities and implement approved strategies to optimize reach, opens, clicks and other eblast performance. Learn and assist to implement protocols for eblast-database integration and reporting.Management of Digital & Print Marketing MaterialsOrganization, Processes & Protocols. Create responsibility and deadline matrix for digital and print marketing materials. Maintain and update processes and protocols regarding usage, check-out, and restocking of materials as appropriate. With input from key staff create a Guideline that includes processes and protocols for requesting, saving, storing, using and shipping, and more.Materials for Key Events. Identify emerging technologies and opportunities to enhance GLOBAL’s digital marketing. Work to integrate design with GLOBAL brand guidelines, video brand elements, social media, and website.Other Work. Video Editing. Edit short videos for social media and other digital outlets.Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show. Work alongside the entire GLOBAL staff in coordinating GLOBAL’s signature annual fundraising event.Photo & Video Organization. Assist as appropriate to organize GLOBAL photos and videos so that they are easily accessible for marketing campaigns and other departmental use. Provide input into establishing protocols for digital asset management and assist in enforcing these protocols.Other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, Graphic Design; Master’s Degree preferred.4+ years’ management experience with, and strong skillset in, eblast design, organization, reporting, and analytics that improve eblast metrics.Excellent knowledge of MailChimp and/or like platforms, Intermediate/Advanced WordPress CMS experience; Chimpegration and database integration is a plus.Proficient in HTML/CSS development for both web and email applications.Advanced Excel skills and strong PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Suite and dashboard skills. Salary is commensurate to experience.HOURSMust work the hours necessary to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position, generally Mondays through Fridays from 9:00am-6:00pm.
