As the Head of Content Design, you will scale, lead and manage teams to ensure our products and features are valuable, easy to use and at highest level of craft and execution. You’ll set and drive a vision for Content Design. You’ll partner with leaders in Product Design, Research, Product Management, Engineering, Marketing and other disciplines to define the strategy, operations and communications that guide the team to build great products addressing real user needs. The ideal candidate will have strong fundamentals in people management and org building and experience defining and elevating content quality and efficacy in a data-driven product culture. This role can be based in SF, Seattle or NYC. What you’ll do: Manage the Content Design team including other managers Make staffing decisions based on business priorities, both short term and long term, as well as individual team member strengths and motivation Shape team strategy, identify gaps and solutions for future growth and scale within the Design team and across the company Become a trusted, strategic partner to product stakeholders by communicating and demonstrating the value of Content Design and by defining and delivering insights that lead to demonstrable business value Have a point-of-view about strategic decisions, using insights from the team; understand how to influence stakeholders and leaders to implement the best ideas What we’re looking for: 8+ years experience in Content Design or a related field ideally at a high tech, product-driven company with a global user base 3+ years of experience managing Content Design/UX writing teams including experience building / scaling teams through hiring, growing and retaining high-performing employees Experience working with a variety of cross-functional peers and stakeholders (e.g., product managers, data scientists, product designers, researchers, engineers, policy, communications, marketing) A portfolio demonstrating breadth and creativity and proven experience in content writing, telling stories and UX writing #LI-BL5 At Pinterest, our mission is to bring everyone the inspiration to create a life they love—and that includes our employees.
