This part-time support role reports to the Chief Creative Officer and will work closely with our Artistic Director and Digital Advertising Agency.TASKS: – Plan and execute social media calendar- Create and develop social media content surrounding:Festival Lineup and ArtistsNewport Jazz historyNewport Jazz merchCelebrating George Wein, our founder- Answer messages and monitor comments- Grow audience and engagement; monitor effectiveness of content- Report and analyze social metrics monthly- Provide on-site support for socials during Newport Jazz Festival (July 29-31, 2022)EXPERIENCE: – Facebook- Instagram- Twitter- Facebook Business Accounts- Instagram Shop- Digital Ad Buying- Cross-Posting- Knowledge of Jazz (past and present)BONUS SKILLS: – Adobe Photoshop- List building campaigns- Knowledge of Newport Jazz- Tik Tok for businesses- MailchimpQUALIFICATIONS: – Bachelor’s degree in marketing- 2 years of relevant experience- Ability to work in Newport, RI from July 28 to August 1, 2022ABOUT US: Newport Festivals Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation founded in 2010 to produce and preserve America’s premier music festivals, Newport Jazz Festival® (est. 1954) and Newport Folk Festival® (est. 1959).
