We have folks hosting everything from magic conventions to artist EP launches to Thanksgiving dinners, and even a few weddings.The mission of Gather is to remove physical constraints on peoples’ lives, and provide a virtual world which surpasses the real one in interconnectedness, personal touch, and expressiveness.The Gather team is quickly expanding to meet the needs of our growing user base, and we are now looking to hire a full-time Social Media Specialist! As our Social Media Specialist, you will help broaden our brand awareness by engaging with our community through various campaigns, responding to customer inquiries, and generally being the voice of our brand across our social media channels as we strive to create a fully open and inclusive metaverse.From seeing the possibilities to understanding the limitations, you will be working cross-functionally to leverage your creative skills and dive deep into the data to understand what does and doesn’t work.Where you will make an impact: Channel Curation – Deliver timely, accurate, and thoughtful responses to our users’ comments, inquiries, and requests across all channels, as appropriate. Work with the customer support team on any escalating issues, creating pinned comments, posting supplemental content, etc.Content Creation – Generate, edit, and publish clean, clear, and engaging content (original text, images, video) that fits each channel, maintains a consistent brand voice, builds meaningful connections, and encourages community members and followers to take action.Campaign Collaboration – Work closely with the growth, communications, and success team to develop campaigns and contests as well as plan, launch, and maintain monthly content calendars.Operational Optimization – Track, analyze, and report on social media engagement. Monitor current events and industry news to identify stories worth promoting or discussing. Adapt content based on past performance and respond quickly to emerging opportunities.
