The Digital Marketing and Commercial Excellence (DMCE) organization was stood up in early 2021 to accelerate our commercial transformation, with a focus on modernizing customer engagement for competitive advantage, using data-driven insights. We think about this from three angles: How commercial teams develop and iterate strategy that bring value to patients, customers, and our Company How we engage with customers to build a relevant conversation and sustain long-term How we build a culture that sparks innovation, experimentation and empowers diverse and inclusive teams Our role is to work with colleagues across the world with the goal of doubling the speed, impact, and efficiency of our customer engagement over the next three years. The DMCE organization consists of people with diverse backgrounds and skillsets. We have leaders who have gained extensive experience inside our Company, and from other large organizations and startups. We have people with deep experience in modern marketing and strategy, along with specialist capabilities. Examples include automation and marketing technology, customer experience, omnichannel marketing including social media, agile and change leadership, and content creation. The role The role will report to the Enterprise Digital Governance (eDG) Director and requires a consultative and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to quickly pivot and adapt to dynamic circumstances while supporting multiple initiatives. The preferred candidate thrives on unpacking complex fact patterns, identifying and building strategic connections and finding the balance between compliance and innovation. Role responsibilities (including but not limited to): Coordinate internal and external intelligence gathering around near and long-term digital trends, disruptors, and opportunities (i.e., regulatory, technology, behavioral) Synthesize data and drive cross organizational collaboration to form an enterprise point of view on the relevance, imminence, and potential impact (reputational, economic, etc.) of near and long-term shifts across the ever-evolving digital landscape Build and lead a global task force dedicated to transforming disruptors into opportunities that enable the enterprise to not only be proactive when it comes to change, but also be the change leaders Design, build and implement agile frameworks that govern our digital transformation initiatives which could be around customer engagement, marketing technology investments and omnichannel initiatives. Collaborate with cross organizational stakeholders and subject matter experts in developing strategies that prepare the Company for privacy & regulatory changes and help us leverage these changes to innovate in the digital space Support global HQ and local markets in preparing for and responding to in internal and external audits as they relate to digital activities by coordinating the aggregation of required documentation, curation of records and designing and executing remediation plans for gaps identified (if any). Required education, qualifications, and experience: Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent from an accredited university. A minimum of 4-5 years of commercial or consulting experience. A minimum of 2-3 years of implementing or managing compliance, governance and/or risk mitigation related activities. Experience in tracking industry digital trends , data and analytics practices, and thought leadership both within and outside pharmaceutical and life sciences Strong Project Management experience with ability to identify & manage internal stake holders /external vendors in aggregating Data & Competitive Intelligence. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to positively influence policy/process evolution, adoption and change management across the organization Project Management.
