Job Description : | Communications / Social Media Specialist Location: Virtual, Greensburg, PA will be reporting location Class: Part-time Hourly Rate: $12.00 per hour / up to 29 hours per week Company: Applied Training Solutions (ATS) is a leading provider of training and operational support technologies and services for the military warfighter and first responder communities. (www.appliedtrg.com) We are looking for motivated and talented individuals to join our team to support communications and social media. The goal of the program is to help further develop your communication skills in a professional work environment. ATS has locations in Hampton, VA; Greensburg, PA; and throughout the country at remote locations. Overview: ATS is looking for an individual with educational or professional experience in mass communications, social media, marketing, or public relations. As an communications specialist, you will be supporting senior leadership by promoting ATS to current and potential clients in the emergency preparedness space through online and social media interaction. This position requires an independent thinker, with good writing skills, and the ability to work in a virtual environment. You will receive hands-on projects and daily tasks that use social media platforms to promote and manage ATS’ brand image. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Grow ATS’ social media presence and profile which currently includes Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube Develop a quarterly social media strategy for capturing target audience and current customer engagement Quarterly social media strategy should include unique social media posts across platforms, to include upcoming training and exercises, employee recognition, ATS participation in conferences and outreach events, and preparedness campaigns that are relevant to the ATS mission and clients Moderate comments across social media platforms, providing feedback to ATS leadership Assist with social media analytics and reporting Identify topics, research, and write profile pieces to be featured on the ATS website Design marketing materials, including but not limited to invitations, flyers, and graphics for large events hosted by ATS Update the ATS website as needed Work with ATS leadership on developing a strategy for internal communication across multiple locations and practices Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship Required for Position: Yes |
