We’re looking for team members who want to be part of building the greatest local sports company in the world.Position Summary: The Social Media Manager is responsible for video storytelling and content marketing, with an emphasis on social media. In this role, the content marketing manager will set social and video storytelling strategy to create exposure for content that LeagueApps is the most purpose-driven organization in the youth sports industry. In some cases, they will also use their storytelling and social media skills to help recruit talented colleagues.They will work with various stakeholders including Creative, Content, Brand, Marketing, Events, NextUp, FundPlay, Customer Marketing, and People.The ideal individual for this role will feel comfortable setting strategy and managing details, have strong editing abilities, enjoy content creation, be able to manage multiple projects concurrently, meet deadlines, and be able to succeed in a fast-moving organization. They will also create the social media voice for the brand and learn to engage its audiences in fun and interesting ways.They are well versed in the latest social trends, channels, and channel features and will be a subject matter expert across the leading social channels for the org.Responsibilities: 1) Social Media: Work with team to set and maintain the social media strategy.Be the champion of the audience: ensure that the editorial agenda serves both company needs and audience needs.Create playbooks across channels to ensure our employer brand has a consistent identity.Become an expert in our employer brand, making sure the content is focused on the needs the youth sports industry.Interest in ideating and creating new, innovative social content based on best practices and trends.Collaborate with and support creative partners in content creation and optimization.Create social copy and edit content as needed.Monitor and bring to light cultural moments and key holidays to the team to enhance brand storytelling.2) Video Storytelling: Own scriptwriting across all mediums—digital, social, and experiential.Condense long-form content into smaller, digestible video solutions.Creative consulting and production short form copy for marketing collateral and social media.Understand, evolve, and be a steward of brand voice, tone, and style for video.Manage all video storytelling content as it relates to the blog.Partner with growth marketing and paid media teams to ensure content is optimized across channels, including both paid and organic content.Curate on-brand content from LeagueApps and industry sources for all sports.3) Results: Partner with vendors to monitor social sentiment on trending topics, report on trends to inform content decisions.Build and lead a measurement plan to ensure that the video storytelling and social media strategies are rooted in performance, evaluated correctly, and demonstrates business value.Report on results in weekly 1:1 and in monthly recap to the company.Qualifications: 5+ years relevant social media marketing experience, 2+ years of editing and social content creation experience.Demonstrated experience adapting, learning new skill sets, and gain understanding of operational challenges.Entrepreneurial with relationship building skills and experience executing on multiple tasks with cross-functional partners simultaneously.Resourceful and creative storyteller, with innovative ideas for reaching audiences.Experience independently identifying and acting on priorities with organizational, time management, and communication skills.Experience building social channel playbooks.Experience building and managing a social media strategy including editorial calendars, moderation, social listening, sentiment reports, and trend spotting.Experience managing vendor partners and multiple stakeholders in the social space.Compensation & Perks: Equity Grants.Health Benefits!
