Job Description New public television YouTube series that uses iconic photographs to explore historical moments requires a part-time Social Media Strategist. Please note this is a fixed term position budgeted for between 25 and 29 hours for 40 weeks. This is an opportunity to create, organize, lead and manage social campaigns for a digital-first series of highly visual documentary shorts. The Social Media Strategist will be responsible for facilitating and scaling brand awareness through various social media channels. The position will require content creation, experience developing successful social media marketing strategies and campaigns, experience using and leveraging analytic tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Sprinklr, etc.) and metrics tracking, online community creation, audience engagement and campaign management. Specific responsibilities include: Develop, from the ground up, a social media strategy and actionable plans to grow and maintain followers on YouTube and Instagram for a new short-form documentary series; Produce and publish platform-specific content to accompany documentary series including video; research and fact-check historic photos; Identify and track appropriate data metrics to optimize results and analyze performance; Develop and establish social media partnerships with affinity individuals and groups; Create, manage and maintain editorial content calendar; Develop content optimization recommendations; Attend editorial meetings and production shoots (if possible, location determinative); Collaborate with series’ graphic designer as overall aesthetic is developed; Collaborate with Market Research to develop and implement demographic surveys as well as other stakeholders, including production and publicity. Qualified candidates will have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Additional qualifications include: At least 4 years of experience working in social media marketing for a brand including determining target audience and customizing unique social media marketing campaigns to capture their attention; |
