Job Description : | Women’s Liberation Front (WoLF)Content ManagerJob Summary: The Content Manager is responsible for producing written and audiovisual materials related to WoLF’s legal and educational activities. Materials include, but are not limited to, blog posts, targeted actions, social media messages, visual images, videos, and press releases. The Content Manager ensures that all programmatic content is legally accurate but also accessible and understandable to the general public.This position communicates with journalists and media contacts to educate and update them aboutWoLF’s programmatic work. The Content Manager works closely with other staff members to ensure that all messaging and educational materials are coordinated and align with WoLF’s mission and values.Reports to: Legal DirectorSupervisory Responsibilities: This position may occasionally have supervisory responsibility of volunteers.Duties/Responsibilities: Content DevelopmentWrite, edit, and proofread content for blog posts and evergreen website content aligned to agency program plans.Produce targeted actions, petitions, and other public engagement initiatives using SalsaEngage.Develop visuals, graphics, videos, and other audiovisual content aligned with WoLF StyleGuide.Regularly create educational content for social media accounts, including Twitter,Facebook, Spinster, Instagram, Ovarit, YouTube, and LinkedIn.As needed, work with volunteer content developers to ensure that all content aligns with WoLF’s mission and values.Social Media and Website ManagementFormulate a cross-platform content strategy.Manage all social media accounts, in accordance with WoLF’s Social Media policy.Post website content and update website as needed.Track web analytics to ascertain content engagement levels.Member and Supporter EducationProduce weekly/regular emails for members and supporters using Salsa Engage.Develop targeted educational content based on supporter segments.Journalist EducationWrite and disseminate press releases and other materials that will educate journalists and media contacts about WoLF’s work.Proactively establish new relationships with journalists and media contacts.Monitor WoLF’S media inbox and respond to media inquiries.Other Duties: This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee of this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills: ability to work with multiple people on different projectsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and asynchronously in a remote work environment Excellent time management skills: proven ability to meet deadlines, identify priorities, and shift priorities based on unexpected situations or events Creativity and ability to develop original content Proficient with CRMs, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite Proficient with SquareSpace, HootSuite, Meta Business Platform, Canva, and related software Expertise in all of the following social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube Expertise in video editing and graphic design Expertise in email marketing and Salsa Engage Ability to maintain thorough knowledge of WoLF’s programs, goals, objectives, and developments in news, law, and policy related to WoLF’s core focus areasEducation and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in related fields (law, education, political science, communications, journalism, etc.) or 4 years of related professional work experience.At least 2 years of related professional work experience required (6 total years of experience if candidate does not have Bachelor’s Degree).Legal background is not required, but strong candidates will have a proficient level of understanding related to women’s rights legal issues and legal terminology.Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Computer must be capable of efficient video editing as well as uploading/downloading.Home internet connection must be capable of regularly participating in video conferences, and other online activities as needed.Workplace InformationWoLF is a fully remote workplace. Candidates must have a home office with storage space for confidential documents and a secure internet connection.
